How big is the World Cup in the USA, is there a big build up to it?
And how big is football (NOT SOCCER) in the USA now?
And is the MLS popular or are the European leagues more popular?
It depends on who you ask, and where you go. Most of the "build up" to the world cup where I live (Dallas) is happening in Hispanic/Latino stores/media. Whereas in the other market, they are counting down to Super Bowl XLV since the day that they started construction on the new Cowboys Stadium.
