What is the origin of the Blue Feather in Harvest Moon games?
Is there an original legend, "Old Wives Tale", folklore, myth, story, etc. regarding the Blue Feather used in the Harvest Moon video games? An example of what I'm talking about is the Kappa in Friends of Mineral Town & More Friends of Mineral Town. There is a Japanese folklore about the Kappa that is a little like the folklore about Vampires & the Undead. I'm looking for some original sources of information regarding the Blue Feather.
The blue feather is a traditional part of all Harvest Moon Games. It is always used as a sign of marriage. I think it has something to do with Native Americans.
